Mohammad Ali Bani Asadi was born in 1955 in Semnan. He has a master's degree in Illustration and is a famous Iranian painter, designer and caricaturist. He has illustrated more than 80 books for children and adults, among which we can mention “Kite and Crow”, “God is close to his friends” and “Sweet stories of a mouse and a cat”. He was an illustrator for the magazines "Rain", "Kayhan Bacheha" and "Soroush of Children and Young Adult" and is a member of the Science Association of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Tehran. He is actively involved in the field of illustration, graphics, sculpture and animation and organized many exhibitions in Iran and abroad based on his artworks. He has been the winner of different awards such as “Bordira” (Italy 1989), “Hans Christian Anderson” (2015), Gold Medal and Honorable Mention in the Second Graphic Exhibition in 1992. Mohammad Ali Bani Asadi was selected as an Iranian candidate for the World Prize in 2010 and was also a jury for different festivals. This artist obtained the degree in Sculpture from the Kamalolmolk Art Center in 1974, the degree in Animation from the Institute of Intellectual Development of Children and Youth in 1976, a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Tehran in 1980, and a master's degree in Illustration from the Faculty of Tehran Fine Arts in 2001.
