Doru Axinte

Doru Axinte was born on December 4, 1962 in Falticeni, Romania. He graduated from the Police Academy Law School. He began his artistic career as a self-taught artist. From 1988 to 2011 he worked as a police officer, but is now retired. He currently works as a freelance artist concentrating primarily on cartoons and satirical graphic art. In the cartoons he focuses mainly on "jokes" and "satire". In 1990, he debuted with caricatures in the military press and later published in Romanian newspapers and humor magazines. His artworks have been presented in numerous individual and countless group exhibitions. He also participated in numerous international cartoon competitions and his drawings received numerous prestigious awards.
