Dalton Ghetti is a Brazilian artist known for his remarkable sculptures made from pencil lead. Born on February 28, 1961, in São Paulo, Brazil, Ghetti is the eldest of three children and the only boy. His mother worked as a seamstress, while his father was a strict disciplinarian and a butcher. As a child, Ghetti’s fascination with nature led him to adopt various pets, including a monkey and a tarantula. At the age of 10, his family moved to the village of Poços de Caldas, where he continued to engage with nature freely.
