Sabir Nazar

Sabir Nazar is a Pakistani painter and editorial cartoonist. Starting in 1991, he published cartoons of him on the cover of “Friday Times”, Pakistan's first independent weekly newspaper. He contributed to popular magazines like “Newsweek Pakistan” and “Herald and Pique”. His cartoons are now regularly published in the “Express Tribune” and “The International New York Times.” Sabir Nazar has also drawn many cartoons, posters and publications for human rights and development NGOs such as “HRCP Pakistan”, “Action Aid”, “OXFAM” and “UNICEF”. In 2009, Nazar received the "Editor's Pick" award from the Nepalese magazine “Himal Southasian” (specializing in political and economic trends in South Asia).
