Homayoun Mahmoudi

He was born in 1966 in Tehran. He is a British Iranian cartoonist, graphic artist and designer. He studied Graphic Design at the University of Tehran and graduated in Animation at “Tarbiat Modares University”. He is an expert in his own style of “Minimal Cartoon” and has his own technique of working on sandpaper. Mahmoudi moved to the UK in 2004 and worked as a freelance designer and international artist. He undertook PhD research in Art and Design at Manchester Metropolitan University. He has won numerous international cartoon competitions around the world since 1994 and his artwork is exhibited at The Modern Art Exhibitions worldwide. Between 1999 and 2006 he worked with the company Ritzenhoff Design as a member of their team of artists.
