Luis Ordoñez is Argentine and lives in the city of Lanús, Buenos Aires. For 44 years he has been professionally and uninterruptedly dedicated to drawing and caricature. He worked on Argentine television, on the highest-rated TV shows and also worked for three years on US television on channel 41 in Miami, Florida. He collaborated with the most prestigious graphic media in Argentina, as well as in publications in France, Germany and the United States. For 34 years he has taught humorous drawing and caricature classes in three schools in Argentina. He founded the first cartoon school in the city of Coral Gables Miami Florida, being one of the busiest schools. He had his own program called "Las Minas de Ordoñez" where in short daily sessions he taught drawing by this means. He exhibited in Canada, Belgium, Japan, Germany, the United States, Spain, France, being in the latter country, in Saint Just Le Martel, awarded in 2012 and in 2019 for the direction of culture and the Exhibition of Humor, as the best cartoonist of the world among more than 500 cartoonists from all over the planet. In October 2019, he exhibited at the Louvre Museum, being the first time that a cartoonist exhibited in such an emblematic museum. He is named an “Illustrious Citizen” of his hometown of Lanús, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He currently teaches his courses through virtual classes in different parts of the world.
