He was born in Busan, South Korea in 1984 and grew up in La Grange, Illinois. She earned her undergraduate degree in Art History and English at the University of St Andrews in 2006, then began her fine arts training at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She spent a year studying drawing at the Florence Academy of Art and then moved to New York in 2010 to train with Jacob Collins at Grand Central Atelier. She graduated in 2014 and currently lives and works in New York City. Patrick teaches drawing and painting in the full- and part-time programs at Grand Central Atelier, as well as in workshops across the country. Her work is exhibited in galleries in New York and Massachusetts. Patrick's immersion in the methodology, philosophy, and studio practices of the classical workshop continues to inform and refine her technical skills, while her determination to evince the beauty, dignity, and grace of the human form provides the inspiration for her work.
