Reinaldo Figueiredo is from Rio de Janeiro. He started working as a cartoonist and illustrator in the humor weekly “O Pasquim”, where he stayed from 1974 to 1985. In 1984, together with Hubert and Claudio Paiva, he created the monthly tabloid “O Planeta Diário”. Subsequently, “Planeta Diário” merged with “Casseta Popular” and the group “Casseta & Planeta” emerged, which ran a prime-time comedy show on the Globo television network for 18 years. Despite this, he remained in the cartoon area. He has published four books: “Scandals Illustrated” (1984), “Humor Drawings” (2007), “Autograph Nights” (2010) and “The Art of Zoar” (2014). He published his drawings in the newspaper “O Globo”, was a columnist for “Folha de S. Paulo” and is a contributor to the magazine “Piauí”. Reinaldo is also a musician. He played the electric bass in the concerts of "Casseta & Planeta" and currently plays the bass in the quartet "Compañía Estadual de Jazz" (CEJ) and "Grupo Carioca" dedicated to samba-jazz. Since 2013 he has presented the program “A Volta ao Jazz em 80 Mundos” on Rádio Batuta (Internet radio from the Moreira Salles Institute)
