Nicoletta Ceccoli is an artist from San Marino born in 1973, known for her dreamlike and richly detailed work. Ceccoli was born and lives in the Republic of San Marino and studied animation at the Urbino Art Institute in San Marino. She began working as an illustrator in 1995 and has illustrated many books, including “Cinderella” and “The Girl in the Tower,” written by Lisa Schroeder. Her work has been exhibited and sold internationally, with many high-profile clients such as Vogue and United Airlines. Ceccoli received the Andersen Prize, "honoring her as Italy's best children's book illustrator," in 2001. Other awards she has won include the New York Society of Illustrators and four Excellence in Communication Arts awards. . In 2008 she worked as a character designer for a French 3D animated film, “La mecanique du couer”, directed by Mathias Melzieau. Additionally, she has participated in 11 group exhibitions and has held nine individual exhibitions of her work.
