Sebastian Cast

He was born on January 29, 1973 in the city of Buenos Aires, capital of the Argentine Republic. There he studied at the Manuel Belgrano School of Fine Arts and at the Beato Angélico Institute. He continued his training at the Workshop of the Plastic Artist Claudio Piedras (former Grupo Espartaco) dedicating himself mainly to the study of the live model and the caricature with the cartoonist Hermenegildo Sábat. Over the years, he has had numerous individual and group art exhibitions. He belonged to the artistic group ALFA. Between the years 1993 to 2010 he dedicated himself to the realization of street comics in the city of Mar del Plata during the summer seasons. He also did it in various provinces of the country such as Santa Fe and San Luis and in other countries such as Spain (in Lloret de Mar, Barcelona). Plays He designed illustrations and cartoons for bands like O'Connor, Beto Vázquez Infinity, Heavy Roll, Papa Rock, Vega, Fron The Fire, Dan Swano, Omnium Gatherum, Stamina, among others. Likewise, he created cartoons for the magazine "Nuestra voz" of the Atilra group (Argentina) and illustrated the cover of the magazine "Dinamita" (USA). He created the characters for the company "Entertaiment Puppets Production (Spain). He illustrated the cover of the book dedicated to the biography of actor Danny Kaye-2010. He illustrated for the book: "Enneagram" by Ezequiel Madanes (Israel) in 2015. Books • In 2013 his book "The art of Sebastián Cast" was published with the editorial "Mad Artist Publishing" in Canada and in 2015 "The art of Sebastián Cast II" by the editorial "Cartoon Arca de Grecia". • Participated in the edition of the books: "Bono 50 years in caricature and homage to Robin Williams" from the editorial "Mad Artist Publishing" - 2014. • In 2017 he published “El arte de Sebastián Cast III” with the editorial “Cartoon Arca – Grecia. His different works were exhibited in: Argentina, Mexico, Poland, Brazil, Iran and Croatia. Awards • Second place in the National Drawing Contest – 2014 -2015 - Fundación Banco Ciudad - Argentina • First place - International Exhibition of "Am humor Azonia" -Brazil - 2015. • Special mention in the Third MIKS - 2017. • First place in the International Cartoon Competition - 2017 - "Nosorog" Magazine. Since 1993 he has been making live cartoons for parties and events with his own company "Caricatures Cast", which has a group of various cartoonists. For several years and with the great tool that is the Internet, he has placed orders for private clients and companies around the world such as: Argentina, Brazil, Panama, Colombia, Spain, the United States, Costa Rica, Russia, England, Belgium and France. In the same way, he has dedicated himself to teaching caricature through traditional techniques and digital art, trying to transmit his experience mainly from his years of fine arts, thus enriching the art of caricature.
