He was born on April 14, 1948 in Giurgiu. He currently lives and works in Ploiesti. He studied at the School of Fine Arts and at the Higher Technical School of Architecture. He began drawing in 1973 in the Humor Magazine “Urzica”. He published more than 4,000 caricatures in magazines and newspapers in Romania and other countries. He also illustrated 7 humor books. Since 1991 he has been an independent artist and has worked for the newspapers “Opinia Publica”, “Ziarul Financiar”, “Socul Cotidian”, “Cuget Liber”, “Jurnalul De Prahova”, “Gazeta Prahovei”, “Prahova”, “Monitorul” and “Viata Prahovei”. Since 1993 he has been art director at the publishing house “Echinox”. In addition, from 2007 to 2010 he was an editorial cartoonist for the newspaper “Telegraful De Prahova” and a cartoonist for the magazines “Plai Cu Boi” and “Rebus Bis”. He was chosen as the cartoonist of the year 2002 in Romania. He has held personal exhibitions in Ploiesti 1980, 1986, 1988, 1993, Giurgiu 1983, 1991, Bucharest 1984, 2006, Fredrikstad 1990 (Norway), Tolentino 2001 (Italy) and Tehran 2004 (Iran). Also since 1979 he participated in some international exhibitions in Bulgaria, Italy, Turkey, Canada, Yugoslavia, Croatia, Macedonia, Belgium, Holland, Japan, France, Cuba, Poland, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Norway, Indonesia, United Kingdom , Russia. , Ukraine, Korea, Iran, Taiwan, Australia, Argentina, Colombia, Slovakia, Albania, Slovenia, Portugal, Egypt, Cehia, Greece, United States, United Arab Emirates, China, Austria, Sweden, Syria, Cyprus, India and Romania ( more than 400 participations in international exhibitions). He has won more than 90 international awards, 23 national awards. He was a member of the international jury at Anglet 1986 (France), Istanbul N.Hodja1997 (Turkey), Beijing2004 (China), Tabriz2004 (Iran), Sofia 2007 (Bulgaria), Aydin Dogan 2007 (Turkey), AzCartoon 2007 (Azerbaijan), Don Quichotte 2008 (Germany), CITY Complexities 2008 (Iran), SyriaCartoon 2008 (Syria), Azercartoon 2009 (Azerbaijan) and many others.
