Toso Borkovic

Toso Borkovic is a Serbian comics artist and illustrator. He was born in Han Pijesak and has lived in Ruma since 1960, where he also studied Electrical Engineering. After various odd jobs, as a newsboy, he devoted himself full-time to cartoons in the 1980s. He held a regular position at the Belgrade newspaper “Vecernje Novosti”. His best-known comic strip is “Tosa”, which has been published daily in Borba since October 1986. Borkovic's works are characterized by their generally satirical and wordless character.
