Birth: 1327, Lorestan – Died: July 3, 1395, Tehran. He was an Iranian caricaturist. He worked for a time as a telecommunications technician and then joined the press. Ziaei worked in the Iranian press for more than five years and was one of the most active in the field of caricatures and cartoon theory. Ziaei is the author of numerous books and articles and has been published in Iranian and foreign publications. He is also the father of Laleh Ziai, an Iranian caricaturist. Mohammad Rafi Ziaei died of a heart attack at his home in Tehran at midnight on July 21. He had a bitter mood at work. Heydari believes that Ziaei's works were often in black and white and had strong, dense hashtags. As for the theme of his works, most of them had peace and human friendship as their theme. He actively collaborated with several magazines and newspapers such as “Milenio”, cartoons for children, he was editor of the humorous and satirical magazine “Fkahyvn”, he was editor and deputy editor of the magazine “Comic and Comedy”, editor of the Institute's publications Gol Agha” (weekly, monthly, Gol Agha calendar), cartoon book, “Kayhan” cartoon magazine and “Pilban” magazine. He was also a member of the Planning Board and Selection Committee of the Tehran International Biennial “Cartoon Works” for several periods, was responsible for the Tehran International Cartoon Conference in the fourth and fifth biennial period, member of an expert jury of written and video comic works to select the best press in various periods, member of the jury of the Gol Agha International Cartoon Dialogue Competition, member of the jury of the Gol Agha International Cartoon Competition, director of the first marine cartoon competition of the country and member of the jury of the second year of the Palestine Without Internet at Home contest.
