Lucas Santiago Varela, was born in Buenos Aires in 1971. He is undoubtedly one of the most original, complete and versatile artists that have emerged in Argentina in recent times. He is a graphic designer, illustrator, plastic artist and, above all, a cartoonist. His works received international awards and were exhibited in museums and cultural centers, after being published in magazines such as "Clarín", "La Nación", "Genios", "Rolling Stone", "La Mano", "Comiqueando", " Skorpio”, “Fierro”, “The Woman of my Life” and “TXT”. He also designed animations for "Fox Channel" and dozens of promotional illustrations for advertising agencies, plays, rock bands and theme centers. Two of his recent comic strips, “El” and “El horno crilata”, have been successfully published in France, the Netherlands and the United States.
