Could there be anything better than this?” • “Silver award from the Bordigehra cartoon festival (Italy) in 1996, which was a very prestigious award. Even though I traveled to Italy to receive my award in person, due to financial problems of the organizers, I was not able to get it there, but it was recorded on my resume.” • “First prize of the Ankara cartoon festival with the theme "boy" I won, the only cash prize of this festival ($2000) plus a week's stay in Ankara. I really enjoyed it, because I sent a caricature there compared to the common and usual works of the festival. I did not draw a funny, comical and laughable cartoon to make children artificially laugh, I drew a bitter cartoon about a divorced child to warn families to avoid divorce if they can, and also to feel sympathy for divorced children.” • Award for mention of UN cartoons in 2011 and 2017 awarded by the UN journalists association. • “First place for Aydin Dogan with the collaboration of Turkish cartoonist Dogan Arslan in 2012, however, at first we thought that the cash prize sum would be divided between two of us, but the Aydin Dogan foundation decided to pay $8,000 for each cartoonist winner as a sign of generous attitude.” He was a member of the jury of different national and international cartoon festivals, including: Skopje Cartoon Festival (Macedonia) in 1986 and 2014, Anglet (France) in 1991, Dubai (Emirates) in 2002, and the cartoon festival cartoons of Izmir (Turkey) 2009, member of the jury in other local cartoon festivals and jury of the annual cartoon contests of the magazine Tanz-o-caricature.
