Ronaldo Cunha Dias (Vacaria, July 20, 1951) is a Brazilian cartoonist. In addition to being a cartoonist, he is a surgeon. He has won numerous awards within the country and abroad, and is currently one of the most awarded Brazilian cartoonists in humor exhibitions. With several collective and individual exhibitions, he is the author of three books: "The man who laughs", "Now I can laugh" and "Smile... you are in danger". He participated in various compilations with other authors. His career as a designer began in 1985 when he won the first prize for “PB Magazine Search New Humorists”. Since 1995 he has been a cartoonist for the “Pioneer” newspaper in Caxias do Sul, and a contributor to the “Zero Hora” newspaper. He published the drawings of him in the United States, through "Cartoonist & Writers Syndicate", and in Europe through "Joker Feature Service". He was invited to participate in the publication of the eighty years of the newspaper "Le canard encahaine" in France. Ronaldo is one of the most awarded Brazilian cartoonists, inside and outside the country. He has won more than 60 awards, in addition to having participated as a judge at the 35th International Festival of "Khartoum Knokee Heist" in Belgium. In Brazil, he won first places in several state humor contests, his last achievement was in the 4th Mostra Maranhanse de humor. Some of the countries in which the cartoons were recognized are Japan, Spain, Belgium, Indonesia, Turkey, Yugoslavia, France, South Korea, Croatia, Portugal and Germany, gaining international recognition.
