Hervé Tanquerelle, was born on August 9, 1972 in Nantes. He studied at the “Emile-Cohl de Lyon” School and had as a teacher Yves Got, cartoonist of “The Black Baron” with a script by René Petillon. In 1998 he published his first book, “La Ballade du Petit Pendu”. After a collaboration with Hubert in the series "The Legacy of the Alchemist", where he made the first three volumes; Joann Sfar contacted him and gifted him the graphic part of the series “Professor Bell” from the third album in the series to the fifth. He is a regular contributor to the monthly magazine “Cosmic Capsule”, where he creates the character of “Tete Noire”, a Mexican wrestler who fights silly monsters. “Shakabam” is the first album in the Tete Noire series. He was one of the regular designers of “Lucha Libre” in which he designed “Melindez and the Luchadoritos”, a series of one page gags by Jerry Frissen. Together with Gwen de Bonneval, Bruno, Cyril Pedrosa and Fabien Vehlmann, he is one of the founders of the digital comic magazine “Professor Cyclops”.
