Arnaldo Angeli Filho was born on August 31, 1956, in the city of São Paulo, and at the age of 14 he published his first drawing in the extinct Senhor magazine. In 1973, he was invited to draw for the Folha de S.Paulo newspaper, in which he created the daily strip “Chiclete com Banana”, published in the comics section, featuring characters such as Rê Bordosa, Bob Cuspe, Wood & Stock and the Skrotinhos, between others. In 1985, "Chiclete com Banana" became an independent comic book of the same name, with unquestionable influence in the publishing market. Angeli is the author of several books and has participated in several comic festivals in Europe. His work was published by Linus magazines in Milan; El Vibora, from Barcelona; Humor, from Buenos Aires, and in the newspaper Diário de Notícias, from Lisbon. For more than 40 years, he worked exclusively as a political cartoonist for the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo and for Universo OnLine (UOL). He has developed some animated comics for the internet and Cartoon Network. He was one of 100 artists worldwide honored by Google to have some of their work displayed on Google's Internet interfaces. He is one of the creators and editors of the Baiacu project.
