Hesam Bani-Eghbal

Hesam Bani-Eghbal is a British and Iranian artist, musician, designer, cartoonist and director. Hesam started his career as a cartoonist in 1995 with the successful cartoon magazine called “Keyhan caricature” and “Gol agha”. After getting his degree in Industrial Engineering from “Islamic Azad University”, Tehran South Branch, he continued his career by studying computer animation and visual effects at “Bournemouth University”; which later led him to join some visual effects teams on Hollywood blockbuster films. As a composer and musical performer, he performs numerous public and private piano recitals in Tehran and London. His repertoire included classical musicians as well as his own compositions. He worked as a visual effects artist on some feature films like “Tehran 1500”, “The Hunt for Gollum” and some other Hollywood Blockbuster movies. He directed some short films and documentaries, some of his films included “Vafaye Engare” which was made about the life and achievements of the famous Iranian architect Korosh Farzami, who designed many famous monuments and buildings and the famous main entrance of the University. from Tehran. As a university professor, he taught animation courses at the University of Tehran, “Tarbiat Modares” University and “Soore” University, where some of his students have won numerous awards such as the Cannes Film Festival and the Academy Awards. In the last seven years he established his own film, visual effects and graphics studio, which he titled “Hesam Animation Studio”. Hesam Animation Studio's 3D works and the included CGI animation of holographic images and 3D portraits have been exhibited at the Tehran Peace Museum and also at the Tehran Holy Defense Museum.
