FadiToon (Fadi Abou Hassan) is an award-winning and widely published freelance cartoonist. He lived as a refugee in Syria until the 2011 uprising and is known for his numerous cartoons commenting on daily life and political events in Syria and the Middle East in general. His cartoons focus on human rights, women's rights and the political violence taking place in the country. He is highly critical of the political elite in Syria. His cartoons have been published in various print and online media, including “Al-Quds”, “Al-Arabi”, “Alroya” (Muscat), “Al-Seyassah” (Kuwait) and Norwegian and Danish newspapers and magazines such as the “AMTA” newspaper, “Samora” magazine, “Numer” magazine and “Lugar”. Lastly, he is also the editor-in-chief of “Cartoon Home Network International”.
