In 1988 I started my career in advertising and graphic design, an enduring passion. At a renowned advertising agency I specialized in advertising design for newspapers and magazines. This step naturally followed a lifetime of painting and graphic design. After two educational years at the agency, I started my own design agency within a printing company. Here I learned from a master typesetter, improved my typesetting and design skills and deepened my knowledge of the printing trade. This period also marked my studies in marketing and an in-depth exploration of effective advertising, looking beyond just making 'pretty things'. After a decade at the printing company, I moved to Rotterdam to set up my own design and advertising agency. Here I focused on programming in PHP and Javascript and on photography and photo manipulation, which brought me international recognition. As a jury member in photo competitions and with more than 300,000 followers online, I have proven my expertise. As a freelance creative director, I remain passionate about marketing, design and advertising. I serve various (international) companies with a holistic approach, which is not just about visual presentation, but especially about the intuitive communication of the message.
