Giacomina Ferrillo è un’artista italiana laureata in Scenografia. Diplomata in Arte della Stampa e specializzata in Graphic Design, ha poi conseguito un Master in illustrazione per dedicarsi alla sua passione per la letteratura e l'illustrazione per ragazzi. Ha lavorato nella pubblicità, per il teatro, come decoratrice d’interni, redattrice e art director di una rivista di moda. Lavora come illustratrice ormai da molti anni e ha pubblicato dieci libri per ragazzi in Italia e all’estero, i suoi libri sono stati tradotti in inglese, cinese e coreano. Attualmente si dedica alla pittura botanica, un'altra sua grande passione, è membro ASBA (American Society of Botanical Artists) e ha esposto i suoi lavori a Londra quattro volte per la SBA, la società artisti botanici inglese. Le sue pagine di taccuini botanici sono molto apprezzate sul web e sono state pubblicate da alcune riviste specializzate internazionali. Giacomina Ferrillo is an Italian artist. She is graduated in Art of the Printing and Graphic Design. She has a university degree in Scenography and a Master's degree in illustration to pursue her passion for children's literature and illustration. She has worked in advertising, for the theater, such as interior designer, editor and art director of a fashion magazine. She works as an illustrator since many years and she published ten children's books in Italy and other countries and have been translated into English, Chinese and Korean. Currently she is dedicated to botanical painting, her other great passion. She is a member of ASBA (American Society of Botanical Artists) and has exhibited her works in London four times for SBA, the English Botanical Artists Society. Her botanical sketchbook pages are highly appreciated on the web and have been published by some international specialized magazines.
