“I am a 2D animator, illustrator and Peruvian cartoonist, I have more than 30 years of artistic career. I have received several national and international awards to count: • I received in Caracas Venezuela, the "Pedro León Zapata" prize for the best cartoonist of the national press in 1989. • I was the winner for the animated short "Bolívar, I sing to the Liberator" for "Best Animated Short of 1999". • In the city of Santiago de Chile, I won the award given by the Inter-American Press Association (SIP) for "Best Illustrator of the Year 2000". • In Lima Peru, I was chosen as a beneficiary of the economic stimulus, "Contest to support creative projects of authors of children's and youth literature", granted by the Ministry of Culture of Peru, 2018. In addition to obtaining other awards in Venezuela, Spain, Colombia and Romania. I worked in the 80s as an illustrator and cartoonist, in most of the Lima newspapers such as the magazine "Somos", "El Nacional", "Extra", "Expreso", "Visión Peruana Magazine", "Ojo" and " The Republic". I have been the founder of the Nazca de la Historieta Club and the Comics Club, along with other illustrator colleagues from the 80s generation. In the 90s I emigrated to Venezuela where I worked as an illustrator, cartoonist and animation director in different print media and production companies. of TV commercials. In recent years in Lima, we founded with other friends the "Artisan Collective" dedicated to the dissemination of graphic humor, caricature, comics and poetry. I have also dedicated myself to the illustration and edition of comics, such as "History of La Blanquiroja in the World Cups", with 5 chapters, "Martín Guise", founder of the Peruvian Navy and personal projects such as "Tales of Tomorrow" and “Easy Tales””.
