He was born on January 20, 1978 in Quilmes, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He started drawing in 1996. He participated in various caricature and illustration contests around the world such as in Buenos Aires, Spain, Cuba, Colombia, Romania, China, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Luxembourg and Portugal. In April 2001 he won second place in the caricature category at the XX San Antonio de los Baños Biennial, Cuba. In January 2002 he made a cartoon special on the television program "El revés de la Trama" for an Argentine channel and from that year he teaches a workshop on caricature and illustration techniques. His caricatures and illustrations were exhibited at: “Palais de Glace”, “Alianza Francesa”, “Museo de Bellas Artes de La Plata”, “Casa de Arte Dona Rosa”, “Hipódromo de Palermo” (All in Buenos Aires) . In April 2008 he illustrated room number 204 of the “Dormirdcine” Hotel in Madrid, Spain and in June 2009 he participated in the first TG MPM (Mobile Postal Museum). In 2012 "Gerbera Ediciones" published "Selva de Ciudad", a children's story by Fernanda Argüello and illustrated by David Pugliese. In 2013 the book "David Pugliese Caricaturas" was published in Greece by "Cartoon Ark". In October 2014 he gives a lecture to the students of the Ornerakis School of Applied Arts in Athens, Greece. In February 2016 he participated in the "Swaggerless Pop up Art Show at Gallery", Los Angeles, United States. Currently, David works as a freelance illustrator and has collaborated with many clients both domestic and foreign, starting with “SQP” (USA), “Boom Magazine” (USA), “The Wittenburg Door” (USA). .), “Teina” (Spain), “Reader's Digest” (Argentina), “Bavoice”, “Revista Arlequín”, “Catrasca” and “Orsai” (Argentina). Together with Jésica Cichero, he is the founder of “Entusiasta Gallery”, a gallery of graphic and artistic projects carried out with enthusiasm. At present he lives in Barcelona.
