Norman (Born: August 24, 1947 – Died: June 10, 2020) was the SKP veteran who received multiple awards. As cartoon historian John Lent comments: "Isaac's ubiquitous works appear internationally." Norman was the editorial cartoonist for “Tempo.” He has won several international awards namely: • Second place in the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Asia Pacific • Editorial Competition of Cartoons on Climate Change - 2012 • First Prize, ASEAN Cartoon Editorial Competition - 2007 • Honorable Mention, United Nations and Ranan Lurie Politics Cartoon Awards – 2005 • Best Editorial Cartoonist, Global Media Awards, Population Institute – United States - 1997 • Best Editorial Cartoonist, National Press Club Journalism Awards - 1989 • Twice winner of the “Hidezo Kondo” award, Yomiuri Shimbun International Cartoon Contest - 1983 and 1988.
