Oivind Hovland is an experienced freelance illustrator with a long list of international clients covering a wide range of media, including: John Hopkins Magazine, The Financial Times, Leo Burnett, The Observer, Radio Times ”, “The Independent”, “Underground”, “New York Observer”, “The Sunday Telegraph”, “Time Out London”, “Time Out Chicago” and “Metro Newspaper”. For Oivind, illustration is about telling stories: “Even if you only have a small image at your disposal, you can still tell a story. And that, in a few words, is my goal, to tell a story using all the means at my disposal.” He has won several awards such as “American Illustrators”, “Serco Award”, Best Norwegian Newspaper Illustrator, “Images” and National Mercury Prize Art Exhibition.
