Riber Hansson was born in 1939 in Sweden. He currently lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden. He worked as a construction engineer in 1965 and later in different architectural firms in Stockholm. In the 70s he founded his own company focused on perspective drawing. He studied art primarily privately, studying oil and tempera painting most deeply. He then worked at the newspaper “Svenska Dagbladet” from 1990 to 2000, as a caricaturist and illustrator. He currently works as a freelance artist and publishes in Swedish and European newspapers and magazines. His works of art have been exhibited in numerous individual and group exhibitions in various countries around the world. He has published several of his own books and illustrated more than 20 books. His cartoons and illustrations received prestigious awards (we can mention at least the Award of Excellence in 1998 and 1999, the Special Award for the best-known satirical artist and/or cartoonist in 2002, the Grand Prize of Word Press Cartoons in 2007 and the Grand Prize Press Cartoon Europe Award in 2009). His works of art are exhibited in several museums in Europe and the United States.
