Kap (Jaume Capdevila) Berga, was born in 1974 in Barcelona, Spain. He is a cartoonist and caricaturist for some Barcelona newspapers such as “La Vanguardia” and “El Mundo Deportivo”, among others. He also draws for websites such as “The Last Monkey Garabatolandia” and “Kapdigital”. He obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona. He has published several books with drawings and political caricatures of him. In 2009 he received the Gat Perich International Humor Award. He has exhibited his works in Barcelona, Berga, Manresa, Figueres, Tarragona, Lleida, Zaragoza, Madrid, Valencia, Oporto, Lisbon, Paris and Mexico. Capdevila is the author and co-author of numerous works on the history of Spanish comic strips, caricatures and numerous topics related to graphic humor. He was also a biographer of Catalan caricaturists such as Bagaria and Tisner. He wrote about the state of Catalan satire in the Spanish media about the comic “Tebeosfera”. He acted as curator of exhibitions related to this theme, including "Trazos", a look at one hundred years of history through the cartoons of “El Mundo Deportivo”, the oldest sports newspaper in Spain; and about caricaturists like “Joaquim Muntanola” or “Tisner”.
