Angel Boligan Corbo was born on May 10, 1965, in San Antonio de los Baños, Havana, Cuba. He studied at the National School of Visual Arts Teachers in Havana and graduated as a visual arts instructor in 1987. Since 1992, Boligan has been living in Mexico and currently works as a cartoonist for the satirical magazine El Chamuco. He has won over 120 international awards in various cartoon competitions worldwide.

Boligan’s artwork is characterized by dark humor and deep social commentary, addressing themes such as excessive consumerism, loneliness, addiction, and the over-reliance on technology. He describes himself as a “social cartoonist and visual chronicler of the modern age,” aiming to evoke both a smile and introspection in his audience.
