Wassaly Kandinsky (1866-1944) – He became one of the main artistic names of the 20th century, especially in relation to abstractionism, which he pioneered. Furthermore, Russian became a reference in European modernism.
Tarsila do Amaral (1886-1973) – Tarsila was a reference for Brazilian modernism, mainly due to the fact that she managed to translate the nationalist expression of the period in her works. She was a painter, draftsman and also worked as a translator.
Anita Malfatti (1889-1964) - She is considered the pioneer of modern art in Brazil and her aesthetic was based on Brazilianness and freedom. Malfatti was the daughter of an American woman and an Italian man, and had a mobility disability.
Pablo Picasso (1881-1873) – Picasso was a Spanish painter who stood out, mainly for his cubism, a modern artistic expression. He was one of the most influential painters of all time, having several acclaimed works.
Oswald de Andradde (1890-1954) – He was a Brazilian poet, playwright, writer and essayist. Together with Tarsila do Amaral, he founded the anthropophagic movement. Furthermore, he was one of the most controversial figures of modernism.
Salvador Dalí (1904-1989) – Dalí was one of the main names in Spanish and world painting. His main artistic current was surrealism, in which he mixed dreamlike and bizarre figures, marked by great plastic quality.
